冰戏，是我国古代冰上运动的总称，它源于寒冰的北部地域。中国古代的冰戏活动兴起较早，但盛于明、清时期。这个时期的北方以速度滑冰、花样滑冰和冰床、冰上射箭等运动为主要形式。这是中国古代少数民族传统体育运动的主要项目。
Sports on Ice
Winter is long and bitterly cold in the vast northern part of China. Sports on ice started from the hoary past and prospered during the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1611-1911) dynasties, especially among some national minorities, in the form of speed skating ,figure skating ,sledding and archery on ice.
